Gas Turbine Flow Meter
Gas turbine flow meters are widely used in the energy sector to measure the flow of gases in various processes. These flow meters offer high accuracy, reliability, and durability, making them essential in industries such as oil and gas, power generation, and chemical production. Gas turbine flow meters are well known for their high accuracy and can measure flow rates ranging from low to high flow rate with changes. They are suitable for a wide range of gas types, temperatures, and pressures, making them peform well in many applications in the energy sector.
Product Details
Characters :
Gas turbine flow meters operate on the principle of measuring the flow rate of gases passing through a closed pipe using a turbine rotor wheel. When the gas flows through the meter, it causes the turbine rotor wheel to spin at a speed proportional to the flow rate. This rotational motion is then converted into a flow signal that is displayed on a digital or analog output.
For example. in the oil and gas industry, gas turbine flow meters play an important role in measuring the flow of natural gas, mixed gas, and refined products. These flow meters are accepted in custody transfer applications to accurately measure the quantity of gas being transferred between different parties. They ensure transparency and accountability in transactions, helping to prevent disputes over the amount of product exchanged in each deal .
Gas turbine flow meters are also used in upstream operations, such as monitoring gas flow rates in wells and pipelines. By accurately measuring the flow of gas, operators can optimize production, detect leaks, and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.

Installation guidance :
a) Installation Area
The transducer should be used under the operating condition with the measuring medium temperature from -20 to +120℃ and ambient relative humidity no greater than 100%. Avoid installing the transducer in a corrosive atmosphere. Select an area subject to minimumize mechanical vibration or impact shock, minimumize thermal radiation, minimumize magnetic field. If the transducer is subject to the strong magnetic field, it is recommended that shield must be covered on the preamplifier.
b) Installation Direction
The transducer should be installed horizontally. The flow direction of fluids should be in accordance with the arrow point which is on the label of the transducer for indicating the flow direction.
c) Piping
For inevitable reason from installation point of view, install a fluid vibration damping device such as strainer on the upstream side of the transducer. The upstream and downstream straight pipe requirements are generally recommended that the straight pipe 15 to 20 times as long as the inner pipe diameter upstream of the turbine flow transducer and 5 times as long as the inner pipe diameter downstream of the turbine flow transducer. The length of the straightner installed on the upstream and downstream sides of the turbine flow transducer
