Electromagnetic Flow Meter

Electromagnetic flow meter can be used to measure the volume flow of conductive fluid in a closed pipeline. It is widely applied in the flow measurement and control in the fields of chemical and petroleum industry, metallurgy industry, water and waste water, agriculture and irrigation, paper making, food and beverage industry and pharmaceutical industry.

Measurement is not affected by the variation of flow density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and conductivity. High accuracy measurement is guaranteed according to the linear measurement principle.

DN 6 to DN2000 covers a wide range of pipe size. A variety of liners and electrodes are available to satisfy different flow characteristic.

We XINSIER TECH can offer high end customized Electromagnetic Flowmeter according to various customer’s requirements .For example, we will offer different electrode sensors to stand some corrossive liquid . Customer can choose Rubber ,PTFE ,PFA ,Ceramic lining material for different liquid .

We make Flange connection with standard as GB , DIN2501 , ANSI 150 ,JIS 10K and so on . For sanitary indusrty say food and pharmaceuticals ,customer can get Tri clamp or Wafer connection in stainless steel 304 ,316 material .

Introduction

Electromagnetic Flow meter also known as magnetic flowmeter, they are widely used in various industries for their precision in measuring the flow rate of conductive fluids. This measurement technology is particularly valued for its accuracy, reliability, and minimum maintenance requirements.

How Electromagnetic Flowmeters Work

The working principle of an electromagnetic flow meter is based on Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction. When a conductive fluid passes through a magnetic field generated by coils in the flow meter, it induces a voltage proportional to the fluid’s flow velocity. Electrodes placed within the flow tube detect this voltage, which is then converted into a flow rate by the flow meter’s electronics.

Advantages of Electromagnetic Flow meter

  1. High Accuracy: Electromagnetic flow meters provide highly accurate measurements, often with an error margin of less than ±0.5%.
  2. No Moving Parts: The absence of moving parts reduces wear and tear, leading to lower maintenance costs and longer service life.
  3. Versatility: These flowmeters can handle a wide range of conductive liquids, including corrosive and slurry fluids.
  4. MinimumPressure Drop: Since there are no obstructions in the flow path, pressure loss is negligible, ensuring efficient operation.

Applications

Electromagnetic Flow meter are utilized in various sectors, including water and wastewater management, chemical processing, food and beverage production, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Their ability to handle different types of conductive fluids makes them an ideal choice for industries requiring precise and reliable flow measurement.

Conclusion

Electromagnetic Flow meter offer a blend of accuracy, durability, and versatility, making them essential tools in many industrial applications. Understanding their functionality and benefits can help industries optimize their fluid measurement processes, ensuring better control and efficiency.
